Global Entrepreneurship Week Penn State welcomes any event in the month of November that supports the themes of education, ecosystems, inclusion, and policy.

Looking for inspiration for your Global Entrepreneurship Week event? Consider focusing on one (or more) of these popular topic areas that align with GEW’s theme of “Together We Build.”
- Education – Share resources, teach skills, and showcase programs that help people explore entrepreneurship and bring their ideas to life.
Examples: Hands-on startup bootcamps, business idea pitch nights, workshops on financial planning, maker or prototyping sessions, intro to AI and ChatGPT for entrepreneurs, what to consider when starting a business, social media and website management tools 101 - Ecosystem – Highlight ways your community collaborates, connects entrepreneurs to networks, and helps startups grow.
Examples: Networking mixers for founders and investors, local startup showcases, tours of innovation spaces, “meet your mentors” events, tech demos (AI, CRMs, management platforms) - Inclusion – Feature efforts to remove barriers and create opportunities for all, celebrating diversity across gender, age, culture, and experience.
Examples: Women in business panels, youth entrepreneur showcases, events spotlighting immigrant founders, accessibility in entrepreneurship discussions, marketing on a budget: tips for underserved and rural startups - Policy – Discuss how policies, programs, and government initiatives can support entrepreneurs and encourage business growth.
Examples: Fireside chats with policymakers, Q&A sessions on small business regulations, roundtables on economic development, funding and grants info sessions, how state programs support digital business innovation
